Joao Pessoa
The capital of the state, Joao Pessoa is a cosmopolitan city
which splits between the beach areas and the old town. There are
superb beaches in and around the town, fabulous restaurants and a
vibrant night life. Shoppers are well catered for, with
hypermarkets, several large shopping centres and hundreds of
boutique shops. There is a large craft complex and the old town
commercial district is well worth a visit. There is a large array of
varied places to stay from 5 star hotels and apartments to simple
character full guest houses.
